“Beautiful Island of Korea, Dokdo”
The International Invitation Exhibition
The beautiful island of Dokdo is pure nature, far from human intervention and where species develop in a unique and peaceful ecosystem.
However, I chose as the theme the "territorial peace". The historical fact is that Dokdo has always belonged to South Korea. Occupied during WWII by Japan, now is illegally claimed by the this country, who had to deliver her as a defeated nation. The goal is to dominate the strategic position.
The silhouette of the island reminds a bird lying down, so the use of the dove of peace. Behind the horizon, we have the rising sun representing neighboring Japan.
For some years now, this part of the planet has become increasingly tense, threatening world peace.
